FITNESS AND YOGA

ZUMBA for Adults!

Zumba is one of the best-known fitness organizations in the world, with more than 200,000 class locations available in 180 countries.
Each workout involves highly choreographed movements set to upbeat salsa and international music. Essentially, Zumba is a fun, high-energy workout experience that keeps you excited to exercise and return for more.
6 class pass $50 or drop in $10

Stroller Barre:

Stroller barre is a great class for those that are pregnant or postpartum. It is a low impact class that uses light weights and your own body weight to sculpt your arms, legs, glutes, and your core. The core is the main focus of class, but don’t expect a class full of crunches and sit ups! We will be doing a lot of standing movements that encourage your core to be utilized to strengthen your whole body safely.
Mondays 5-6pm (May 13th and 20th)

Mat Pilates:

Mat Pilates is a low-impact exercise focusing on core strength, flexibility and overall body awareness. In class you’ll be guided through a series of controlled movements on your mat, targeting different muscle groups. Expect a fusion of Pilates principles, barre inspired warm-ups, breathing techniques and precise flowing movement to enhance posture and build a strong, toned physique. This class is designed for all fitness levels and aims to improve physical and mental well-being. In this 4 week session, we will cover preparatory Pilates exercises and progress into original order mat exercises with modifications. Let’s get moving and see what our bodies and minds can achieve!

INFANT MASSAGE CLASSES:

3 Week Classes Run by certified infant massage instructor Lindsey Deolim from Mentor SouthBay.

Benefits of Infant Massage:
Encourages interaction between you and your baby. Help your baby relax and sleep. Positively affect infant hormones that control stress. Reduce crying. Helps with gas and colic. Constipation and elimination. Growing pains and muscular tension. Teething discomfort.

Cost $30. This class is a 3 week session. Please bring a blanket for your baby to lay on.

Baby Sleep: Routines, Habits, Schedules & More!

If you are struglling with: Bedtime battles, night wakings, early rising, short naps, etc, then you have some to the right place!
Lexi O’Malley is an infant & toddler sleep specialist at MyBaby Sleepology. After she sleep trained her son, she became passionate about helping others on their sleep training journey. Over the years MyBaby Sleepology has helped thousands of families across the world achieve better sleep. Lexi is a firm believer that all children can be great sleepers and that healthy sleep for the entire family is extremely important!
MYBABY SLEEPOLOGY is a sleep consulting company that works with families of 0-5 year olds worldwide, helping them achieve their family’s sleep goals. We take the guesswork out of the process, giving you confidence to teach your little one how to sleep!

Navigating the Pre-Toddler Year!

This group is for the mamas of the 1 to 2-year-olds that are navigating this new phase of motherhood.

We will focus on the adventures of raising your child as a pre-toddler.

Topics will vary weekly based on the group of mommas gathering however, some areas for discussion will be food/feeding… Weaning off bottle breast or binky… Discipline, starting around 18 months… Sleep if not already mastered… Play dates, work life, balance, and so much more!

Come reconnect with some of your Mom friends you met in the new Mom Play Group… And meet new friends as well

Deb Gelman will facilitate this group with lots of tips and tricks taken directly out of the pages of raising her triplets. It is sure to be enlightening, uplifting, and educational.

This class will meet May 4th, 18th, & 25th (no class May 11th)

BREASTFEEDING 101

Expecting??? Join us for this breastfeeding class and learn keys to successful breastfeeding BEFORE your baby/babies arrive! So many questions will be covered, like… How can I be sure that I can breastfeed? How does a pump work? How do I know that my baby will get enough milk? What can I expect in the first few days after giving birth? What breastfeeding supplies will I need? We will cover all of your breastfeeding questions during this class to help you better understand the benefits and joys of nursing your baby! This class is for expecting parents. Most insurance companies will reimburse on request. Please contact them directly to inquire. A receipt to submit for reimbursement will be provided. Cost $75/couple

EXPECTING A MIRACLE CHILDBIRTH CLASS:

Feel ready and empowered going into your birthing time!

Our birth class is taught by a Lamaze certified nurse and covers everything from how to handle unmedicated births, to planned c-sections! We cover 6 Simple Steps for Healthy and Safe Birth (from Lamaze International), information on healthy pregnancy, how to recognize labor, medical procedures like inductions, epidurals, C-sections, and VBACs. The instructor also commits an entire class to unmedicated comfort techniques such as positioning, counter pressure, massage, and essential oils. We also go over what to expect postpartum and how to heal. We are inclusive of all family structures and welcome any birthing people and their partner(s) of choice to join in the fun!

Join us from 6:30-8:30 pm for this 4 week class!  *Your insurance may cover partial or full reimbursement for childbirth classes.

FIRST AID CLASSES:

Ever wanted to learn how to use a real EpiPen? Or scrape a bee sting out with a credit card? How about what to do for burns, cuts or heat exhaustion? Ever wanted to make a homemade splint? Well, this is the class for you! Taught by a local nurse using AHA and ASHI materials. Learn all the first aid basics.  Cost $35/person.

Note: The AHA (American Heart Association) charges an additional $25 for an E-card for any student that is interested.  If you are interested in please bring cash, check or you can venmo and the instructor will complete the appropriate paperwork.

INFANT CPR:

Just one hour to learn lifesaving skills! Cpr and choking class taught by a local American Heart Association nurse educator:
Perfect for babysitters and parents or anyone wanting to learn, no experience necessary! Learn CPR and choking maneuvers for infants. Practice on AHA mannequins- all equipment provided for just the one fee! (No official certification provided, if you are interested in becoming certified through AHA please contact our instructor prior to class at AMS.Lamaze@gmail.com) Class size is limited to 9 participants.  Cost is $25/participant.

NEWBORN ESSENTIALS:

In this class we will go over baby basics!  Learn to swaddle, diaper and how to use your car seat! Learn what to do when the baby is crying and how to safely put your baby to sleep.  Taught by a local nurse and Lamaze instructor.  Class is 2 1/2 hours. This class is perfect for any caregiver, baby sitter, parent, grandparent! Class is $35 per person.

GRANDPARENTING 101 CLASS:

When is the last time you changed a diaper? Swaddled a baby? Put a baby in a car seat? Things have changed…. gizmos and gadgets have been invented to make the new age parenting much easier. Do you know what a bumbo is or a doc-a-tot?! Have you heard of Dr. Brown? That’s a bottle that helps cut down on gas… We’ll give you a refresher course in the basics. This class is for any new grandparent or grandparent-to-be who would like to know what’s changed… We’ll go over tips and pointers to calm and soothe baby, and will share the latest safety standards. This class is taught by our Childbirth Educator, and Nurse certified Lamaze Instructor.

SIBLING ESSENTIALS CLASS:

Is your little one expecting a sibling?
Join us to show them the essentials of becoming a big sibling. They will learn the basics of what baby needs, how to help the parents, and more! They will have the opportunity for interactive practice. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions. Best for ages 2-10 years old.

30 minute session @ 5:30-6 PM
